Sales Executive (Grocery) | Vinarchy Wines

Join Smollan's brand new Vinarchy Wines team, representing some of the UK's most recognisable wine brands across major grocery retailers.
From Jacob's Creek and Hardys to Campo Viejo and Jam Shed, you'll be working with an exciting portfolio of brands with one shared ambition to challenge convention and help redefine the wine category.
Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £31,000 + up to 10% bonus (OTE £34,100) + Company car
Working: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Territory: London, Greater London (covering grocery retailers across the London area. Exact territory boundaries will be confirmed)

Smollan are building a brand new field sales team for Vinarchy Wines, and we're looking for commercially minded Field Sales Executives who know the grocery environment and are ready to make an impact from day one.
Working across the UK's leading grocery retailers, you'll take ownership of your territory, building strong relationships with store teams and using sales and performance data to identify opportunities to grow some of the biggest names in wine.
You'll be the eyes and ears of the brands in store, improving availability and visibility, securing additional space, supporting promotions and using insight to focus your activity where it can make the biggest difference.

What you'll be doing
- Build strong relationships with store managers and key decision makers across major grocery retailers
- Drive sales, availability and visibility of Vinarchy brands across your territory
- Use sales and store performance data to identify opportunities and prioritise activity
- Secure additional displays, promotional space and secondary sitings
- Ensure promotions are implemented effectively and products are well represented in store
- Identify opportunities to improve distribution and availability
- Share relevant category, product and performance insights with retailers
- Monitor competitor activity and provide valuable insight from your territory
- Plan and manage your own territory to maximise results
- Work collaboratively with the wider team, sharing successes and opportunities

We're looking for someone who...
- Has experience working within the grocery/multiple retail environment
- Is a confident communicator who can build credible relationships and influence others
- Is comfortable working with sales data and insight to identify opportunities and drive action
- Has a commercial mindset and enjoys working towards targets
- Can work independently, take ownership and effectively manage a territory
- Is organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced field environment
- Ideally has experience within FMCG, drinks or alcohol brands, although this isn't essential
- Enjoys spotting opportunities and turning them into results
Experience with a drinks or alcohol brand would be a great advantage, but we're equally interested in candidates with strong grocery/FMCG experience who can demonstrate the right commercial and relationship-building skills.

Please note
A full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months is essential for this role.
