Sales Executive – B2B Exhibitions
London | Hybrid working
Up to £28,000 basic + Uncapped commission.
We are a specialist recruitment agency working on behalf of an established events business to find an ambitious and people-focused Sales Executive.
You will join the commercial team behind a successful B2B exhibition. The role will involve developing new business, managing existing relationships and helping suppliers connect with influential buyers and decision-makers.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone at the beginning of their sales career or with some initial experience in sales, events, account management or business development. You will inherit an active pipeline of opportunities while also being given plenty of scope to develop new business across a large and varied market.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching and approaching prospective exhibitors and commercial partners
- Generating new business through telephone outreach, email, social selling and networking
- Developing relationships with new and existing clients
- Understanding clients’ objectives and recommending relevant opportunities
- Selling exhibition space, sponsorship and additional commercial products
- Preparing proposals and progressing opportunities through to close
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts
- Managing your sales pipeline and maintaining accurate CRM records
- Attending client meetings, exhibitions and industry networking events
- Working closely with marketing, content and operations colleagues to deliver a positive customer experience

A significant part of the role will involve telephone-based sales, so you must be comfortable proactively approaching new businesses. You will also represent the company at meetings and events, meaning you should be confident and professional when speaking with clients face to face.

Previous experience in B2B sales, telesales, account management or business development would be advantageous but is not essential. Experience within exhibitions, events, media or another client-facing environment would also be beneficial.
Above all, we are looking for someone with the right energy, attitude and appetite to learn.
