About us.

PA Media Group is the UK’s leading provider of trusted news, information and data services. For more than 150 years, we’ve played a central role in the UK media ecosystem.

Today, we’re evolving.

As the communications landscape shifts, we are building a more integrated, commercially focused marketing communications division, bringing together specialist brands including Mediapoint, Hydrogen, and PA Media Assignments into one powerful, joined-up proposition.

About the opportunity.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of Mediapoint, our market-leading media intelligence platform.

As a Sales Executive, you’ll focus on driving new business - engaging prospects across corporate, agency, public and not-for-profit sectors, and helping them better understand and contribute to the news agenda.

This role is ideal for a proactive, “hunter” mindset salesperson; someone who enjoys building pipelines, opening doors and converting opportunities while developing their consultative sales approach.

You’ll work closely with the Sales Team Lead and be part of a wider commercial function, giving you exposure to broader sales opportunities across the PR & Marketing Services division – including visual assignments, content strategy and social media marketing.

What you’ll be doing

  • Prospect with structure and consistency to identify and generate new business leads
  • Initiate conversations with prospective clients to understand their PR and communications challenges
  • Develop a strong understanding of Mediapoint and position it effectively against client needs
  • Manage the full sales cycle - from initial outreach through to negotiation and contract close
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline, with a focus on conversion and forecasting accuracy
  • Work closely with marketing on sales campaigns, inbound leads and outreach activity
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider division to support cross-sell opportunities where relevant

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • A proactive, resilient mindset with a focus on generating opportunities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to manage a territory in a structured, consistent way

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Experience or interest in media, marketing, PR, technology or data-led environments
  • Exposure to consultative sales approaches (e.g. SPIN, Challenger)
  • An understanding of cross-selling or working across multiple products/services

This role is particularly suited to someone who is early in their sales career but ready to step up, or someone looking to build their expertise in a more consultative, insight-led environment.
