Job Description: Sales Executive (Golf)
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland
This is a full-time office-based role located in our Edinburgh office. Due to the collaborative and fast-paced nature of the role, the successful candidate will be expected to work from the office five days per week.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual at the beginning of their career to join a fast-growing agency operating at the forefront of the global sports and events industry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business by identifying and generating new business opportunities, developing prospective client relationships and helping create new revenue streams across multiple international markets.
This role will have a strong focus on outbound sales outreach and prospecting, with the primary objective of generating qualified meetings and opportunities for the senior sales team to convert. Working closely with the wider commercial team, the successful candidate will target key sectors, brands and rights holders through a strategic outreach programme using calls, email marketing, LinkedIn networking, industry research and other proactive business development methods.

The role will also contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s wider new business and marketing strategy, with a strong emphasis on market analysis, media monitoring, networking opportunities and relationship building.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to some of the world’s leading sports and event properties while supporting pitch development, proposal submissions, client meetings and sales presentations. Provision Events operates globally across the UK, Europe, UAE and USA, and the role may involve occasional UK and international travel as directed by senior management.
This position is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, highly motivated, confident communicating with new people and eager to build a long-term career within the sports, events and experiential industry.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, research and target new business prospects across the sports, events and experiential industries, ensuring engagement with key decision-makers.
- Execute outbound prospecting activity through calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, networking and targeted digital communication campaigns.
- Work towards agreed outreach, meeting generation and new business KPI targets in collaboration with the senior sales team.
- Support the development and implementation of Provision Events’ new business and outreach strategy alongside the senior sales team.
- Generate qualified meetings and new business opportunities for the senior sales team through consistent and strategic outreach activity.
- Build, manage and maintain an accurate and organised customer database using HubSpot and other internal systems.
- Monitor target markets, brands, rights holders and industry developments to identify new commercial opportunities and relevant contacts.
- Support and participate in face-to-face and virtual meetings, presentations, networking events and sales calls.
- Assist the Senior Management Team with coordinating and managing RFPs, proposals and tender submissions in an efficient and organised manner.
- Continually monitor client activity, market developments and industry news, sharing relevant insights, opportunities and trends with the wider team.
- Represent Provision Events professionally at industry events, conferences, networking opportunities and client engagements.

Requirements
- Previous experience within Business Development, Sales, Lead Generation, Account Management or a similar commercial role would be advantageous.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships and engage professionally in client-facing environments.
- Comfortable engaging with prospective clients through calls, email outreach, LinkedIn and networking activity.
- Experience within the sports, events, experiential, marketing or agency sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A strong interest in sport, live events, experiential marketing and brand activations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple outreach streams, tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- A proactive and commercially minded individual with a strong work ethic and drive to achieve results.
- Confidence using CRM systems such as HubSpot, alongside Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and relevant market insights.
- A positive team player with enthusiasm, ambition and a willingness to learn and develop within a growing business.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to perform under pressure when required.
- Flexible and willing to travel within the UK and internationally when required.
