The company represents leading brands including Suzuki, Renault, Dacia, Omoda, Jaecoo, Nissan, and Mitsubishi across sites in Ripon, Otley, and York, serving surrounding areas such as Harrogate, Wetherby, and Leeds. With a dedicated and well-trained team, Batchelors focuses on delivering outstanding service and building long-term relationships with a loyal customer base. The company supplies over 2,500 cars annually and logs more than 20,000 repair hours in its mechanical workshop. Role Description

The Sales Executive role is a full-time, on-site position based in York. The individual in this role will engage with customers in the showroom and over the phone, identify their needs, and guide them through the vehicle selection and purchasing process. Day-to-day tasks include:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for achieving sales targets, maintaining accurate records in the dealership’s systems, and collaborating with colleagues in service and administration to ensure a seamless customer experience. The role also involves maintaining product knowledge across all represented brands and contributing to a professional, welcoming environment that reflects Batchelors’ customer-first values.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Sales and negotiation skills, including experience working towards targets, handling objections, and closing deals.
  • Basic financial and administrative skills, such as understanding vehicle finance options, preparing documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Comfort with digital tools and dealership systems, including use of CRM software, email, and online sales platforms.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales or retail sales is beneficial, but candidates with proven consultative selling experience in other sectors are welcome.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering excellent customer experiences.
  • Ability to work on-site in York, including weekends and peak trading hours, as part of a supportive team environment.
  • Valid UK driving licence and a safe driving record.
