Role Description

The Sales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based at Eddie Wright car supermarket in Scunthorpe. In this position, the Sales Executive greets and engages customers, listens to their needs, and guides them through the vehicle selection process. Daily responsibilities include:

The role involves managing inquiries, following up leads, maintaining accurate records in the sales system, and collaborating with colleagues in finance and administration to ensure a smooth purchase process. The Sales Executive also supports dealership promotions, maintains a well-presented sales area, and works toward meeting individual and team sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in automotive sales or a similar customer-facing sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and explain information clearly and confidently.
  • Solid negotiation and closing abilities, with a professional and ethical approach to selling and handling objections.
  • Comfort with using digital tools and dealership systems for managing leads, maintaining records, and preparing documentation.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple customer inquiries and follow-ups efficiently.
  • Positive, resilient attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment, including weekends and peak trading periods as required.
  • Valid UK driving licence and ability to conduct test drives safely and responsibly.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle features, finance options, and warranties; prior experience in the automotive industry is an advantage.
