Company Description
Northfield Energy helps Scottish businesses access the Business Energy Scotland SME Loan Scheme, offering up to £100,000 at 0% interest plus a cashback grant to install solar and battery storage with no upfront cost. The company manages the entire journey for clients, from eligibility checks and funding applications through to installation and ongoing energy management.
Northfield Energy works with a wide range of Scottish SMEs, including manufacturers, distilleries, hotels, cold storage operators, and leisure businesses that spend significantly on electricity. With three clear eligibility criteria—based in Scotland, trading for at least 12 months, and under 250 employees—Northfield Energy makes it easy for businesses to reduce energy costs and transition to cleaner power.
Applicants joining the team will contribute directly to helping local businesses access sustainable energy solutions and financial support.

This is a full-time remote role for a Sales Executive. The Sales Executive will:

- Identify and qualify Scottish SMEs that meet the scheme’s eligibility criteria.
- Conduct outreach via calls, emails, and online meetings.
- Clearly explain the benefits of the Business Energy Scotland SME Loan Scheme.
- Manage a sales pipeline.
- Conduct consultations to understand client energy usage.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support assessments.
- Guide prospects through the application and installation process.
The Sales Executive will:
- Prepare proposals.
- Follow up on leads.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Meet or exceed sales targets while providing a professional, consultative experience.
This position also includes:
- Contributing feedback to improve sales messaging.
- Participating in virtual team meetings.
- Staying current on renewable energy incentives and market trends.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in consultative sales, lead generation, and pipeline management, ideally within B2B or energy-related markets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Experience using CRM systems, basic data analysis, and digital tools to track outreach, measure performance, and organize prospects.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet targets with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of or interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or energy efficiency programs is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience selling financial products, grants, or funded schemes to SMEs in Scotland is an advantage.
- Relevant education or training in business, sales, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to occasionally travel within Scotland for key client meetings, if required.
