We're looking for an ambitious, driven, and resilient New Business Sales Executive to join our growing team in Reading and play a key role in acquiring new customers and driving revenue growth.

The Opportunity
As a New Business Sales Executive, you'll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and winning new customers across the private sector. Initially focused on Microsoft's solutions portfolio, you'll develop your expertise and expand into wider technology solution areas as your career progresses.
This role is ideal for someone with a successful sales background who is eager to develop a career in technology sales. Previous IT industry experience is beneficial but not essential. We're more interested in your drive, resilience, communication skills, and ability to build relationships.

Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Research and identify prospective customers and opportunities.
- Generate new business through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and LinkedIn.
- Develop and execute strategic prospecting plans.
- Collaborate with Marketing to maximise inbound opportunities.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build trusted relationships with prospective customers.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand business challenges and requirements.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to close.
- Deliver engaging presentations and solution-led conversations.
Solution Selling
- Position Bytes as a strategic technology partner.
- Work with subject matter experts and pre-sales teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Present compelling business value propositions aligned to customer objectives.
Negotiation & Closing
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations.
- Overcome objections and confidently progress opportunities.
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Pipeline Management
- Maintain an accurate and organised sales pipeline.
- Utilise CRM tools to manage opportunities effectively.
- Provide regular forecasting and reporting.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 2 years' successful sales experience.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding targets and KPIs.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the technology sector.
- Ability to commute to our Reading office five days per week.
Desirable
- Experience within an IT reseller, distributor, vendor, or technology-focused organisation.
- Degree-level qualification.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.
- Understanding of Microsoft technologies and cloud solutions.
