BuildersAI

BuildersAI is a fast-growing AI start-up building the UK site management app for small and mid-size construction firms. Drawings, tasks, photos, timesheets, and a site diary that writes itself, all in one app that the whole site actually uses, not just the office.

We are SETsquared-backed, and our aim is to become the biggest platform serving construction SMEs in the UK. Nearly every firm that sees a demo starts using it, which makes this an easier sell than most.

The role

Self-employed sales agent. You book demos with directors and owners of building firms. We run the demo and close it.

Fully remote, your own hours, no targets, and no micromanagement. You are self-employed and free to work with other clients.

What you earn

  • £100 for every qualified demo that goes ahead, whether or not it converts
  • £250 for every customer who signs up and pays
  • Uncapped, no threshold, paid monthly on invoice

Two demos a day is realistic once you know the pitch. That is around £4,300 a month before commission.

The deal economics, so you can judge it properly

  • Customers pay £149 to £599 a month depending on the size of the firm
  • The buyer is the MD, owner, or construction director of an SME builder
  • Sales cycle is days to a few weeks, not months
  • The product does half the work: free trial, every feature, no card, free onboarding, and most teams are set up inside a day

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we give you

  • The best data in the industry. Live project data from Glenigan, so you are calling firms with real jobs starting, with the decision maker's name already on the record. Not a scraped list, not a bought list.
  • A dialler and everything you need to work it properly
  • The script and objection handling we use ourselves
  • Full product training and direct access to me

Who we are looking for

Someone who has sold on the phone before and is not bothered by a cold call. You can talk to a builder without sounding like you are reading off a page.

Construction contacts are a big plus, and experience selling into trades, merchants, or construction services is doubly so.

A way into tech and AI

If you have sold before but never in software, this is a route in. AI is changing how every industry works, and construction is one of the biggest and least touched by it. You will learn to sell software properly, you will be working with AI every day, and you will be doing it in a sector where almost nobody has cracked it yet.

That experience is worth something wherever you go next, and we would rather you got it here.

Where it goes

We are building a sales team from scratch, and there is a clear route to Sales Manager for whoever comes in first and performs, building and running that team as we grow.

We are early, and we are serious about the people who help build this. For the right person, there is a path to a senior commercial role, and equity is on the table for anyone who becomes part of what this turns into.

You will also have a real say in the product. The feedback you bring back off the phone goes straight to the people building it, and several of the things we shipped this summer came directly from what customers asked for on calls.

Why it sells

Construction is 7% of UK GDP, and productivity has not moved since 1970. Most small builders still run their jobs on WhatsApp, phone calls, and paper, and it costs them money every week in rework, delays, and information nobody can find. We fix that for less than the price of a day's labour a month.

How to apply

Apply through LinkedIn with your CV. Tell us in a line or two what you have sold before and why this one interests you.
