✨ We're Hiring: Sales Executive | The Grand, York

Imagine being at the heart of driving the commercial success of one of York's most iconic hotels.

As our Sales Executive, you'll be out in the market building relationships, creating connections and uncovering new opportunities that help grow our Meetings, Corporate and Business Groups business.

From researching prospects and making those all-important first introductions, to hosting client meetings, conducting site visits and attending networking events, you'll play a key role in bringing new business through the door and showcasing everything The Grand York has to offer.

Working closely with our Sales, Meetings & Events and Operations teams, you'll manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking, helping clients choose The Grand York time and time again.

Built in 1906 as the headquarters of the North Eastern Railway, The Grand, York is one of the city's most celebrated landmarks and Yorkshire's only five-star hotel.

🔍 The Role

You'll:

  • Build and grow relationships with corporate, MICE and business travel clients.
  • Identify and win new business through targeted prospecting, networking and market research.
  • Manage opportunities from lead generation through to confirmed booking, maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
  • Develop existing accounts and drive growth in corporate transient and group revenues.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits and hotel showcases that bring The Grand York experience to life.
  • Represent The Grand York at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities.
  • Work closely with colleagues across sales, marketing and operations to maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Use Salesforce to manage client activity, pipeline performance and conversion.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue, activity and conversion targets.

You'll bring:

  • A positive, motivated and target-driven approach.
  • Confidence building relationships with both existing clients and new prospects.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of meeting new people.
  • The confidence to conduct engaging site visits and showcase The Grand York experience.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative and team-focused mindset.
  • Curiosity, initiative and a desire to identify new business opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
