Sales Representative

Field Based Role - London

Salary: £45,000 + bonus and car allowance/travel card

Family-owned business dedicated to producing products are enjoyed by customers across retail, wholesale, foodservice and distribution channels, and we continue to expand our presence throughout the UK market.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business at a pivotal stage of its development. As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in increasing brand awareness, securing new customers, strengthening existing relationships and driving sales growth across your territory.

  • Visit retail outlets, supermarkets, wholesalers and distributors to promote, market and sell Rift Valley Farms products.
  • Execute territory sales plans and achieve or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Ensure consistent product availability, visibility and effective merchandising across all assigned outlets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, buyers and other key decision-makers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and increase market penetration.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies and promotional campaigns, providing timely market feedback to management.
  • Gather and report market intelligence, customer feedback, stock levels and other relevant sales information.
  • Support promotional campaigns, in-store activations, product demonstrations and new product launches.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer visits, sales orders and communications.
  • Ensure compliance with company sales policies, pricing guidelines and operational procedures.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions and other company events as required.
  • Represent the company at local markets, trade shows, exhibitions and sales events when required.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a driven sales professional with a proven track record of success within the FMCG sector.

  • Proven FMCG sales experience, ideally covering retail, wholesale and distributor channels.
  • A strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent territory management and business development skills.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and manage their own workload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong reporting, administration and organisational skills.
  • The ability to provide accurate sales reports, customer updates and market intelligence.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence engaging with buyers, store managers and key decision-makers.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with plenty of initiative and drive.
  • A strong personality with a positive, cheerful disposition and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • High levels of energy, resilience and determination.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an eye for identifying growth opportunities.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
