Job Description:

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Sales Executive for Automotive Aftermarket Division at 3M UK, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Selling and demonstrating the full range of products to achieve sales targets according to the Division’s plan
  • Gaining knowledge of application, process, product and industry knowledge while building customer intimacy especially with the key end user accounts on territory
  • Developing relationships with key distributor sales and technical teams
  • Managing and leading business activities and key programmes within nominated key end user accounts
  • Updating ‘Salesforce’ daily with details of sales visits, events, and activities for all end user accounts.
  • Managing, progressing and developing an opportunity pipeline and sales plan to exceed the sales target
  • Leveraging all available resources to maximise sales impact within end user customers
  • Training distributor internal & external salespeople
  • Learning new skills related to the industry, collision repair processes and product applications
  • Attending and supporting industry events and exhibitions

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

  • Proven customer skills and an ability to build relationships
  • Passion and determination to make a difference
  • Self-motivated and resilient team player
  • Possess excellent demonstration skills
  • Has the ability to adopt a consultative selling approach
  • An effective communicator, both written and verbal
  • IT literate on Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Strong negotiator and influencer who demonstrates an open mindset
  • Effective time management, and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain a professional network within the industry
  • Acts with uncompromising honesty, integrity and professional ethics

  • Field Based position covering Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk (the exact geography will depend on the home location of the successful candidate)
  • Working pattern (full time)
  • Remuneration details: competitive salary package dependent on skills and experience, benefits package, Company car, Sales Incentive Plan based on the assigned targets
