About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, commercially driven and results-focused Sales Executive to lead the growth of our elevator full replacement and modernisation business in the North of England.

You will be responsible for developing opportunities across an existing customer portfolio while proactively identifying new business opportunities. The role combines proactive sales activity, by identifying ageing, obsolete or underperforming elevator assets, with reactive selling.

Elevator industry experience is preferred. We are looking for someone with a strong track record in who is confident managing complex sales cycles and influencing multiple stakeholders.

To best serve our customers, we believe we need to understand their business, their challenges, their priorities and their long-term goals.

You will be comfortable communicating complex technical and commercial information to a wide range of stakeholders, from residential building owners and managing agents to commercial and retail facilities managers, property professionals, consultants and industry specialists.

This position would suit those living between Leeds and the North East.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

  • Own and develop the full replacement and modernisation sales pipeline across the designated Northern territory.
  • Deliver agreed sales, revenue, margin and pricing objectives within the designated market area.
  • Develop new customer relationships and generate new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and networking.
  • Build strong relationships with building owners, property managers, facilities managers, consultants, managing agents and other key decision-makers.
  • Develop opportunities from initial identification through to negotiation, contract award and successful handover.
  • Proactively review the customer portfolio and installed base to identify ageing, obsolete, high-maintenance or technically constrained elevators that may require modernisation or replacement.
  • Help customers develop forward-looking modernisation and replacement programmes using life cycle management / Asset Management Plans.
  • Adopt a structured, consultative and solution-selling approach, focusing on customer outcomes rather than simply product features.
  • Understand each customer's operational, financial, compliance, safety, accessibility and building-specific requirements.
  • Ensure all sales activity, pipeline information, forecasts and customer data are recorded accurately and maintained within CRM/Salesforce systems.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the North of England (3 days a week).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
