The Group: Morningstar’s EMEA Mid-Market Sales team is an exciting new team at the forefront of helping clients strengthen and growth their businesses by delivering solutions that empower their success. Focused on small to medium-sized client accounts with untapped growth potential, we work across diverse client segments including Asset Management, Wealth Management, Banks, Financial Advisory, Retirement, and FinTech’s. The Group constructs impactful client solutions leveraging Morningstar’s market leading Data & Analytics, Research and Indexes. The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Professional to grow our business with Mid-Market client accounts in Europe. In this role you will: Take ownership of a portfolio of Mid-Market client accounts within a defined region with significant growth potential, creating strong client relationships by articulating Morningstar’s value proposition across a broad range of Morningstar’s Enterprise products. Develop new business opportunities with new clients, expanding our footprint within the territory. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a deep understanding of the financial industry, market trends and client requirements. You will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing relationships with financial organizations ripe for growth, at both decision-making and user levels. Key Responsibilities: Drive Account Growth: Take ownership of your book of business, surpassing sales targets by acquiring new clients and deepening relationships with existing ones. Engage Clients Proactively: Manage accounts with a hands-on approach, maximizing revenue retention while ensuring clients receive long-term value and satisfaction. Contract Management: Oversee the contracting process for new sales and renewals, collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely client execution. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with wider sales colleagues, product management, pre-sales, after-sales consultants, and support teams to deliver integrated solutions for your clients. Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate sales forecasts, ensuring alignment and transparency across the organization. Industry Events: Represent Morningstar at prominent industry events, raising awareness and showcasing our solutions to generate new pipeline. What We Are Looking For? Entrepreneurial & Strategic Thinker: Strong business instincts, innovative mindset, and a natural ability to drive change and results. Requirements: Degree or equivalent with a financial or analytical discipline preferred. Candidates should have 3+ years of selling Market Data solutions ideally from a provider such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv or Factset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in German and/or French is a plus. Proficient in selling to multiple financial industry segments and uncovering client challenges. Experience working with Asset Managers and Wealth Managers preferable. Proven track record of exceeding prior targets. Ability to effectively manage competing priorities to maximise sales and retention. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to deliver professional and persuasive presentations and create client rapport. Strong business instincts, good judgment, and creative mindset. Impeccable character with high ethical and quality standards High attention to detail, inquisitive and eager to learn. Base Salary Compensation Range GBP 59.000,00-86.333,33 Commission Target: 60% Annual This role offers a commission target which may vary by up to ±15% depending on final plan design and business factors. We expect the compensation and target bonus for this role to fall within the stated range. The specific compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
