Company Description
Chump Tools Limited manufactures fixings and tools for trades people. The first product is the CHUMPFix. The second product is CHUMPRound, which is being launched at this time. A third product is currently with the manufacturer preparing for launch shortly. Additional products are in the pipeline.
Role Description
This is a full-time Sales role based in South Croydon, Surrey. The Sales Executive will lead the sales activities for CHUMPTools, including identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and nurturing relationships with distributors, retailers, and trade customers.
Daily Responsibilities
- Developing and executing sales plans
- Conducting product demonstrations
- Visiting client sites
- Gathering market feedback to help refine sales strategies
- Collaborating with management
- Preparing sales reports and forecasts
- Ensuring revenue and growth targets are met
- Managing the company's attendance at exhibitions and trade days at wholesalers, colleges, and similar
- Training and supporting customers, plus internal and external sales teams on product features and best practices

Qualifications

- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in tools, hardware, or construction-related products; strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Skills in business development and account management, including prospecting, relationship building, and contract negotiation.
- Experience in social media marketing with both content creation and development of the channels with use of metrics.
- Knowledge of printed media marketing and ability to run email campaigns.
- Knowledge of trade, retail, and contractor channels and comfort engaging with electricians, installers, wholesalers, and other professionals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical product features in clear, practical terms.
- Ability to analyse sales data, prepare forecasts, and use CRM or similar tools to manage pipelines and customer information.
- Organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple accounts, site visits, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Comfort working on-site, visiting customer locations and trade shows, to conduct hands-on product demonstrations as needed.
- Relevant education or training in business, sales, marketing, or a related field; experience in a small or growing company environment is an advantage.
