Internal Sales Executive - Industrial
Brighouse, West Yorkshire
Full-time, permanent
37.5 hours per week
Uncapped bonus scheme
25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service to 30 days

The Role
Our client is looking for an Internal Sales Executive to help drive growth and profitability across its Industrial product range. You’ll combine sales, account management and technical product knowledge to win new business, strengthen customer relationships and recommend solutions that meet their needs. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, Technical, Quality, Health & Safety and Operations to deliver an excellent customer experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prospect for new customers and develop new business opportunities.
- Build long-term relationships with existing customers through regular contact, including face-to-face visits where required.
- Manage and grow existing accounts, protecting margins and profitability while negotiating sales and pricing to achieve commercial objectives.
- Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs, carry out site surveys and recommend appropriate products and application-focused solutions.
- Work towards agreed sales targets, maintain accurate CRM records and develop a healthy sales pipeline.
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and pipeline information.
- Respond promptly to phone and email enquiries, providing product recommendations, troubleshooting support and application guidance.
- Monitor competitor activity, product portfolios and industry developments, and attend relevant exhibitions and events as required.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships and solving customer problems. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable discussing technical products and applications with customers.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an internal sales or customer service role, ideally within lubricants or a related industry.
- Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines.
- Experience within engineering, industrial, tooling, transmission or lubricants would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- A results-driven, commercially aware approach and the ability to understand customer requirements, identify opportunities and provide appropriate solutions.
- An analytical approach to problem solving and identifying trends or root causes.
