About the Company

Quell is a British defence and security AI technology start-up developing solutions to counter drone, vehicle, and human threats across the military, civilian and CNI sectors.

Quell has a small team of sales executives selling to the military and CNI organisations. This is an entry-level role and therefore ideal for someone with little or no formal sales experience, but with a strong interest in defence, security, and military technology, and a desire to build a commercial career in the sector.

The Role

This is a full-time role, reporting directly to the Head of Sales. We are seeking a driven and commercially astute individual with a degree and/or a former member of the armed forces as a sales executive to support the growth of our defence technology portfolio. The role focuses on developing and managing relationships with government, defence, and CNI and security-sector customers, supporting bid activity, and converting qualified opportunities into contracts.

This position suits someone who is comfortable operating in high-trust, regulated environments, with the discipline to manage complex sales cycles and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.

The role is also developmental, suited to someone who has a university degree with 0-2 years sales experience. We are seeking a personable extrovert who possesses both professional confidence and a strong interest in defence. Quell will help develop the core sales skills needed for success including communication, qualification, and stakeholder management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
