Position Overview

The New Business Sales Executive will drive growth across our telecoms portfolio, with a focus on connectivity, VoIP, and Microsoft Teams telephony. Operating within the London and Inner M25 region, this role converts high-quality, pre-qualified leads into new contracted revenue. The position requires a commercially disciplined salesperson who can articulate technical solutions with clarity, build trust quickly, and close opportunities at pace.

This is a strategic acquisition role within a high-performance sales function. All leads are provided.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Lead Conversion

  • Manage and convert a continuous flow of qualified inbound and outbound leads.
  • Conduct structured discovery to understand customer requirements across connectivity, hosted voice, and unified communications.
  • Deliver professional, consultative sales engagements that progress opportunities efficiently through the pipeline.
  • Maintain exceptional conversion rates and uphold service excellence throughout the sales cycle.

Solution Positioning & Proposal Development

  • Present connectivity solutions (FTTP, leased lines), VoIP platforms, SIP, and Teams calling in a clear, commercially compelling manner.
  • Build accurate proposals aligned to customer needs, technical specifications, and commercial objectives.
  • Work closely with provisioning, engineering, and support teams to ensure seamless handover and delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement & Negotiation

  • Engage confidently with SME and mid-market decision-makers, including IT managers, operations leads, and business owners.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service packages to maximise margin while maintaining competitive positioning.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring customers understand deployment timelines, service levels, and long-term value.

Governance, Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reporting.
  • Meet and exceed KPIs across revenue, ARPU, conversion rate, and productivity.
  • Ensure all sales activity adheres to internal governance standards and telecoms regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Competencies

  • Demonstrable success in B2B telecoms or IT sales, ideally within connectivity or hosted voice.
  • Strong understanding of FTTP, leased lines, VoIP, SIP, and Teams telephony.
  • Proven ability to convert leads at pace and manage structured pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to articulate technical solutions in business-focused language.
  • Highly organised, disciplined, and comfortable working within a KPI-driven environment.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience selling Microsoft Teams calling or UCaaS solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho.
  • Understanding of provisioning workflows and telecoms service delivery.
