Sales Executive

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Birmingham (On-site)
Salary: £28,000-£30,000 + Excellent Benefits

We're supporting a well-established UK manufacturer in the search for a Sales Executive to join their growing commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, building long-term relationships and spotting opportunities to increase sales. You'll play a key role in managing inbound enquiries, supporting existing customers and helping drive revenue by providing expert advice and identifying the right solutions.

Working closely with Sales, Production and Operations, you'll ensure customers receive an exceptional experience from enquiry through to delivery.


The Role:

As a Sales Executive, you'll be responsible for managing customer relationships while supporting the commercial growth of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing inbound customer enquiries via phone and email.
  • Building strong relationships with existing customers and becoming their trusted point of contact.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
  • Producing quotations, processing orders and following opportunities through to completion.
  • Providing product advice and helping customers choose the most suitable solutions.
  • Supporting the wider sales team with commercial activity and customer projects.
  • Working closely with internal departments to ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records using the CRM system.
  • Resolving customer queries professionally while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience within an internal sales, sales support, account management or customer-facing sales role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to recognise sales opportunities.
  • Confident managing customer conversations over the phone and email.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a genuine desire to help customers.
  • Desirable: Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or product-based business.
  • Experience processing quotations and customer orders.
  • Knowledge of working closely with production or operations teams.
