Job Purpose

We are looking for a Sales Executive - Key Accounts reporting directly to the Sales Manager - Key Accounts. This is a local role, covering England and Wales.

You will achieve & wherever possible exceed the budgeted sales of Bridgestone, van & 4x4 tyres to the Key Accounts and provide a high quality service to the Key Account Customers by:

  • The professional management of Key Accounts, and maintaining first class business relationships at all levels.
  • Developing and delivering ‘Strategic/Go To Market’ offers for the Strategic accounts.
  • Gaining new business and maximising our share of existing business.
  • Resolve any issues or problems as they arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Account customers at all levels, supporting the Sales Manager – Key Accounts and wider Key Account team as required.
  • Work collaboratively with Consumer Sales & Marketing, Commercial Sales (for joint customers), Trade Marketing, Credit, and other internal departments.
  • Ensure customers receive clear, timely, and accurate information relating to pricing, rebates, sales performance, products, policies, and promotions.
  • Negotiate and manage Annual and Quarterly rebate agreements in line with approved guidelines, ensuring all rebates are correctly processed and claimed.
  • Identify and develop profitable new business opportunities with new and existing customers, with a particular focus on HRD business.
  • Support planning activities including OB, RB, and Mid-Term Plans, and maintain accurate customer and account records.
  • Work closely with the First Stop and Point S network teams to maximise business with quality locations, increasing volumes, and share of account.
  • Deliver customer training and presentations on company and product, supported by Sales Development and Technical teams where required.
  • Ensure correct Bridgestone stock profiles are ordered and maintained within designated accounts.
  • Monitor and report competitor activity and relevant market intelligence.
  • Support credit control by reducing overdue debt and flagging potential risk customers.
  • Organise and chair customer meetings, attend trade shows and events, and support ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Operate at all times in line with company policies and guidelines.

Skills and qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to deliver impactful presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Experience in B2B sales or Key Account Management, ideally within the automotive, tyre, or industrial goods sectors.
  • Proven strategic sales planning, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of contract management, pricing structures, and volume-based commercial agreements.
  • Strong commercial and financial analysis skills, including margin, budget, and profitability management.
  • Experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK as required
