London (hybrid, 2 days per week)
£30,000–£35,000 + commission + benefits
Kioni Talent is working with a market-leading data, intelligence, and events provider to hire a Sales Executive into their London team.
This is an opportunity for someone early in their sales career to join an established business, take ownership of a subset of customers and sales activity, and develop towards an Account Management role over time.
You don't need experience within their industry. They're much more interested in finding someone who's proactive, organised, good with people, and knows that they want to build a career in sales.
You'll receive plenty of support to learn the market, their customers, and what you're selling.
The Role
You'll be responsible for driving sales across a portfolio of industry events, working with both existing customers and new prospects.
That will include:
- Reaching out to existing and prospective customers through phone and email
- Building relationships and understanding which events are relevant to them
- Managing your own pipeline, follow-ups, and sales activity
- Re-engaging customers who have attended previous events
- Identifying opportunities to increase customer spend
- Generating new business and bringing new customers into the portfolio
- Working closely with Account Managers when you identify larger commercial opportunities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What They're Looking For
You don't need a specific industry background or a certain number of years' experience.
Some previous exposure to sales, business development, recruitment, or another target-driven environment would be useful, but they're primarily looking for someone with the right attitude and potential.
That means someone who is:
- Proactive and comfortable picking up the phone
- Confident communicating and building rapport with new people
- Organised and good at managing their own workload
- Resilient and comfortable working towards targets
- Personable, curious, and willing to learn
- Motivated to develop a long-term career in sales
