Sales Executive

lyf George Square Glasgow is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Executive to join our hotel sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys building strong relationships with clients, and has a natural ability to identify and develop new business.

You will report to the Hotel General Manager, you will play an important role in driving revenue across the hotel by developing new business, nurturing existing client relationships, and promoting our bedrooms, meeting and events, food and beverage, and hotel facilities.

A Sales Executive Will Be Responsible For

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the local and wider corporate market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site visits and presentations
  • Promote the hotel’s accommodation, meetings, events and other services
  • Respond to the sales enquiries and prepare quotations and proposals
  • Follow up leads and enquiries and prepare quotations and proposals
  • Follow up leads and enquiries to maximise conversion and revenue
  • Work closely with the Reservations, Events, Operations and Revenue teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Attend networking events, trade shows and relevant industry events to generate new business
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, contacts and opportunities
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the overall commercial performance of the hotel
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities within local market
  • Support the Director of Sales with sales campaigns, promotions and other commercial initiatives

To be successful in the role of Sales Executive, we require:

  • Professional business acumen and effective communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
  • Immaculate standards of personal presentation
  • Background in hospitality or serviced apartments (desirable)
  • Creativity and confidence to find solutions to everyday challenges
