Sales Executive (EMEA) - IoT Connectivity | Developing
About Velos IoT
Velos IoT is a fast-growing, PE-backed global leader in IoT connectivity, supporting more than 17 million connected devices worldwide.
As our commercial team continues to grow, we're looking for an ambitious early-career sales professional to join our EMEA team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has hands-on new business experience and is ready to take full ownership of opportunities from prospecting through to close.
The Role
This is a hands-on, outbound-focused sales role where you'll identify potential customers, start conversations, build your own pipeline and close new business across EMEA.
You won't be joining a role where a full pipeline of inbound leads is waiting for you. Proactive prospecting and creating your own opportunities are a core part of the job. You'll use phone, email, LinkedIn, networking and referrals to reach potential customers, understand their needs and manage opportunities through the full sales cycle.
You may work with OEMs, technology companies, industrial businesses and other organisations deploying connected devices across multiple markets.
Responsibilities What You`ll Be Doing
- Identify and research potential customers across EMEA.
- Build your own pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting.
- Reach decision-makers through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking and referrals.
- Qualify customer needs and uncover new business opportunities.
- Manage opportunities from initial prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and close.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
- Build your knowledge of IoT connectivity, customers and market trends.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing and Customer Success teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
