We're recruiting on behalf of a leading UK business that supplies specialist products and technical solutions to the construction industry. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an ambitious Internal Sales & Account Development Executive to join their successful sales team.

This is far more than a telesales role. You'll become a trusted adviser to customers, generate new business opportunities, manage an established account portfolio and play a key role in driving company growth.

Location

  • Hybrid (Minimum 2 days per week in the office at one of our depots)
  • Ideal locations: Leeds or the North East

Salary

  • £30,000 per annum basic + Bonus

  • Proactively generating new business through outbound sales activity.
  • Building relationships with decision-makers across a wide range of businesses.
  • Qualifying opportunities and arranging appointments for the external sales team.
  • Growing and developing an existing portfolio of over 1,000 customer accounts.
  • Re-engaging dormant customers and identifying new revenue opportunities.
  • Upselling and cross-selling products and services.
  • Producing quotations and following opportunities through to conversion.
  • Keeping your sales pipeline organised and up to date using CRM systems.
  • Working closely with colleagues to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

What We're Looking For

You'll be someone who enjoys talking to people, isn't afraid of a challenge and thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.

Ideally you'll have:

  • Experience in B2B sales, telesales, business development or lead generation.
  • A proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Confidence making outbound calls and building rapport quickly.
  • Excellent objection-handling and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Great organisation and time management skills.
  • A positive attitude, resilience and a genuine desire to succeed.

  • Construction, industrial, technical services or plant hire sectors.
  • Sales Development Representative (SDR) or appointment-setting roles.
