About VWS Software Solutions
VWS Software Solutions is a specialist technology business providing software solutions to the waste and recycling sector. Our core product, PurGo, is a sophisticated ERP platform developed specifically for waste and recycling businesses. It helps customers manage their operations across sales, customer service, collections, transport planning, drivers, weighbridge operations, billing, compliance, and management information. We work with private waste operators, local authorities, and other organisations across the UK, helping them improve efficiency, visibility, and control across their operations.
We are now looking for a Sales Executive to join our team and help drive continued growth across the UK waste and recycling market.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the waste industry and enjoys consultative, solution-led sales. You will manage opportunities throughout the complete sales cycle, from identifying and qualifying potential customers through discovery and product demonstrations to commercial proposals, negotiation, and contract award.
Working closely with our Sales Director, Sales Support Specialist, and Project Delivery team, you will build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers, understand their operational challenges, and demonstrate how PurGo can support and improve their business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
