Location: Manchester
Salary: £32,000 basic + Uncapped Commission £65,000+ OTE

We're working with one of the UK's leading providers of contractor payroll solutions as they continue to grow their New Business team in Manchester.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced salesperson who enjoys a fast-paced environment, wants to earn strong commission and, importantly, doesn't want to spend their day cold calling.

You'll receive a consistent flow of warm enquiries, with your job being to build rapport quickly, explain the service, overcome objections and convert those enquiries into new customers.

The Role?

  • Manage a consistent flow of warm, inbound sales enquiries.
  • Speak with prospective customers over the phone, understand their requirements and explain the most suitable solution.
  • Convert enquiries into new customers through short, consultative sales conversations.
  • Proactively follow up warm leads to maximise conversion.
  • Guide customers through the sign-up and onboarding process.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume telephone sales environment.
  • Achieve individual conversion targets and maximise your commission earnings.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Ideally 2+ years' telephone-based sales experience
  • A proven ability to close business over the phone, rather than simply generate leads or book appointments
  • Strong objection-handling and communication skills
  • A competitive, resilient and tenacious approach
  • Excellent organisation and follow-up skills
  • The confidence to ask for the business and close opportunities quickly

Experience within telesales, insurance, financial services, automotive finance, B2B internal sales or other high-volume telephone sales environments would be particularly relevant.

If you're currently in a telephone sales role, consistently hitting your targets and want an opportunity where you can earn £70k+ without relying on cold prospecting, we'd love to hear from you.
