Located in Runcorn, United Kingdom, our newly extended 120,000 sq. ft. facility is a fully integrated site offering comprehensive manufacturing, repair, and overhaul services to the major players in the landing gear industry. Designated as a Center of Excellence, the facility specializes in surface treatment and assembly of small to medium sized landing gear systems.
Job Summary:
The SIOP Manager is responsible for managing the demand signals via the S&OP process, the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting reviews – so the medium to long term view. The role also includes managing Planning Coordinators / Business Analyst. The SIOP Manager needs to work closely with the Program Managers and the Production Control team to align demand with Capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Core responsibility to manage the various demand signals (OE, Spares, MRO, Warranty) from our customers and the subsequent site Order book. The role includes carrying out analysis of customer requirements vs budget vs lead time vs capacity.
- Facilitate and manage the SIOP data and regular meetings, highlighting any shortfall or demand spikes that affect the business and ensuring that agreed corrective actions are addressed by the SIOP attendees.
- Manage the Master Production Schedule, including creating, maintaining and updating, ensuring MRP requirements are cascaded through the ERP system for all the identified bottleneck resources.
- Produce capacity analysis to establish resource plans for manpower, production cycles and shifts.
- Work closely with the Operations Director and Programme Managers to deliver the forecast plan and order book status.
- Responsible for control of speculative demand signals within the MRP system ensuring that the sign off processes are adhered to and ensuring the speculative orders are removed when actual Purchase Orders are received.
- Develop and maintain a robust process to identify and monitor customer demand (in hours/value) including backlog.
- Manage and maintain the MRO forecast, safety stock and replacement factor data.
- Manage the Sales & Programmes KPIs - working alongside the Directors of sales & Program to ensure key metrics are met, advising corrective actions if the KPIs need refining.
- Responsible for Inventory Management and Control including ABC Analysis, Safety Stock and Replacement Factors.
- Regular inventory reporting to the Senior Management Team.
- Lead the drive for data accuracy in LN with regard to Sales and Supply Chain.
- Assist Procurement with reporting and analysis.
- Manage and improve Business Intelligence Systems (QlikSense/PowerBI).
- Responsible for managing Planning Coordinators including objectives, performance measurement and one-to-one meetings.
- Continue to support projects and programme management/MRP activities as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management or similar.
- APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or similar qualification.
- Demonstrated MRP system understanding, ideally Infor LN experience.
- Knowledge of Qlik Sense is an asset.
Person Specification
- Ability to influence and work with people.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Ability to draft documents/presentations clearly and concisely.
- Pragmatism, tenacity, a can-do attitude and the ability to think laterally to resolve problems.
- Background in Engineering and/or Manufacturing preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably aerospace.
- Strong teamwork, dynamic, pragmatic, proactive and competitive attitudes.
- Experience providing guidance and coaching to lower-tier employees.
- Strong experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
