UK Sales Leader (SaaS HR TECH/Background Screening)
Location: Hybrid – a mix of home based and London office
Salary: Up to £100k basic salary + Commission, Car Allowance + uncapped Commission
Are you an ambitious, high-achieving enterprise growth professional eager to launch an international brand into a major new territory? Do you thrive in an autonomous, entrepreneurial setting where your strategic decisions directly shape commercial success?
We are seeking a dynamic, sales professional to serve as the first hire in the UK for a global leader. You will have proven success in business-to-business corporate sales, with specific domain expertise in HR tech, background screening/vetting or compliance software.
In this role, you will enjoy the best of both worlds: the agility, speed, and influence of a startup, backed by the stability and resources of an established global leader in regulatory technology. Operating from London, you will take full ownership of introducing premier risk mitigation and background screening platforms to corporate HR and risk management executives across the region.

The Opportunity
As the first hire in the UK, you will spearhead their regional expansion from the ground up. You will manage the entire business development lifecycle—from early-stage pipeline building and cold outreach to navigating complex corporate procurement cycles and managing long-term key accounts.
Key Objectives:
- Accelerate Market Share: Identify and convert high-value corporate targets to establish a robust regional pipeline.
- Refine Go-To-Market Execution: Use local commercial insights to adapt international growth strategy specifically for UK audiences.
- Navigate Complex Deals: Lead sophisticated contract negotiations, ensuring smooth onboarding and exceptional client retention.
- Cross-Border Collaboration: Work closely with international product, legal, and leadership teams to ensure seamless cross-functional delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Background: Proven success in business-to-business corporate sales, with specific domain expertise in HR tech, background screening/vetting or compliance software
- Pipeline Ownership: A demonstrable history of generating high-value pipeline through sophisticated outbound prospecting, cold networking, and self-directed lead generation.
- Regulatory Acumen: A practical working knowledge of data governance frameworks, including GDPR and UK Data Protection laws.
- Systems & Workflow: Comfort utilizing modern data systems such as Salesforce to track, forecast, and manage pipeline velocity.
- Mindset: A self-starting, independent operator who enjoys working autonomously while maintaining strong alignments with a global team.
