Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The opportunity

You’ll take ownership of a UK public sector territory, with approximately 70% focused on new customer acquisition and 30% on developing existing accounts.

This is a senior, hands-on sales role where your sector knowledge, relationships and ability to lead complex opportunities will make a direct difference.

You’ll work closely with technical and delivery specialists to understand customer needs, shape credible solutions and develop proposals that connect technology investment with organisational priorities.

For someone who enjoys building a market and developing strategic accounts, this offers a broad Microsoft portfolio and ownership from first conversation through to close.

What you’ll be doing

  • Win public sector customers: Identify opportunities, open doors and develop a qualified pipeline.
  • Develop strategic accounts: Build long-term relationships and uncover opportunities across the wider services portfolio.
  • Understand customer priorities: Connect organisational challenges with practical Microsoft-led solutions.
  • Lead complex pursuits: Own discovery, qualification, proposals, tender responses, negotiation and close.
  • Build senior relationships: Engage decision-makers and develop support across technical, commercial and leadership teams.
  • Coordinate expertise: Partner with Pre-Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success and Marketing to build strong propositions.
  • Deliver predictable results: Maintain clear account plans, disciplined opportunity management and accurate forecasts.
