Sales Lead — Sport & Gambling
Press Box PR | London
About Press Box PR
Press Box PR is an award-winning, high-growth Digital PR agency with specialist experience in the betting and sport sectors. We provide a range of PR services to clients including household name betting operators, affiliates, innovative start-ups, rights holders, sports organisations, their sponsors and other brands and businesses visible in sport.
The Opportunity
Press Box PR is seeking a Sales Lead with experience in the betting and sport sectors to unlock our next phase of growth. We're looking for a sales professional with a demonstrable track record of identifying and closing new business for our proven, market-leading services including digital PR, PR for SEO/AI/LLM visibility, creative PR, sponsorship activations, fan engagement, talent activations and content marketing.
You'll bring strategic experience creating and executing your own sales plans, and identifying, qualifying and nurturing leads against our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), as well as successfully selling through your relationships and networks.
Experience in commercial functions of businesses with similar commercial partners is also of interest, with examples including publishers, affiliates, digital/social media networks, rights holders, sponsorship brokers and other suppliers/partners working regularly with the betting, gaming and sport sectors.
If you have successfully sold services to senior decision makers in marketing, performance, sales, product and PR/communications in businesses who wish to reach sports and/or gambling focused audiences at scale, we want to hear from you.
You should be comfortable listening to and consulting with prospects as you sell as qualifying and nurturing leads is central to the role. Our case studies demonstrate the impact and commercial value of our work and the right candidate will use them effectively to unlock new sales. However, general industry knowledge, expertise and credibility matter more here than direct experience selling PR services as the key experience is a track record of generating new sales for any product or service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
