Sales Lead – Biogas | UK & Ireland

Location: UK or Ireland | Hybrid / Remote

Travel: Approx. 30%

Sector: Biogas, Biomethane, CO₂ Recovery & Renewable Gas

A global leader in sustainable process technologies is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Lead / Sales Representative – Biogas to take responsibility for the UK & Ireland market.

The business supplies advanced biogas upgrading and CO₂ recovery technologies, helping customers convert biogas into valuable revenue streams such as biomethane and recovered CO₂. With an established global footprint and continued growth across renewable gas markets, this is a key commercial hire for the region.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and growing the biogas business across the UK and Ireland, managing the full commercial process from identifying opportunities through to proposal development, negotiation and order conversion.

Working closely with internal teams across proposals, product management, technology, project delivery, operations and service, you will provide customers with technically and commercially competitive solutions.

Your external stakeholders will include:

  • Biogas and biomethane developers
  • Plant owners and operators
  • EPC contractors
  • Utilities
  • Industrial customers
  • Strategic partners
  • Agents and suppliers

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the annual sales plan for the UK & Ireland biogas market
  • Develop new business and strengthen existing customer relationships
  • Identify new projects and emerging market opportunities
  • Manage the sales pipeline and opportunities through CRM / Salesforce
  • Review customer requirements, RFQs, project specifications and applications
  • Work with technical teams to identify the most appropriate upgrading solution
  • Coordinate preparation of detailed commercial and technical proposals
  • Support bid and tender processes
  • Develop competitive pricing and scope-of-supply strategies
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity and industry trends
  • Build relationships with developers, EPCs, end-users and strategic partners
  • Represent the business at industry conferences, exhibitions and associations
  • Support longer-term commercial strategy across Western Europe

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience
  • Direct experience in biogas, biomethane or renewable gas solutions
  • Strong understanding of the UK and/or Irish biogas market
  • Experience selling technical equipment, process technologies, EPC solutions or capital projects
  • Ability to manage complex, consultative sales cycles
  • Strong commercial and technical communication skills
  • Experience working with developers, EPC contractors and plant owners
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
  • Degree-level education, preferably within engineering, science, business or a related discipline
  • Fluent English
  • Additional European languages would be advantageous
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%

Experience gained with a biogas upgrading technology provider, EPC contractor, renewable gas developer or direct competitor would be particularly attractive.

Candidates must have the legal right to work across the UK and Ireland. Profiles able to operate in both markets under the Common Travel Area or equivalent unrestricted work arrangements are particularly relevant.
