We’re looking for a Sales Manager to lead our Telephone Account Management team on a 12-month maternity leave cover. You will coach, develop and inspire a team of Account Managers and Customer Success Executives, creating the focus and momentum needed to deliver strong partner conversations, retention and revenue performance.

This role has a distinct emphasis on high-volume activity, multiple campaigns and consistent execution at pace. You will translate business priorities into simple, practical plans, helping your team understand what great looks like and take confident action.
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive management group that values energy, ambition, clear thinking and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and inspire: Coach and empower a team of 8 Account Managers and Customer Success Executives to deliver high performance, outstanding customer conversations and strong commercial outcomes.
- Coach for growth: Use regular coaching, one-to-ones, team sessions and structured development plans to build capability, confidence and accountability.
- Drive activity and campaign performance: Turn business priorities into focused team plans, managing multiple campaigns and activity goals while maintaining quality, partner value and pace.
- Deliver commercial success: Align team activity with retention, revenue, productivity and partner sentiment objectives, ensuring effort is focused where it will have the greatest impact.
- Use data to lead: Analyse performance data to spot trends, risks and opportunities, translating insight into clear actions for individuals and the wider team.
- Create a high-performance culture: Set clear expectations, celebrate success, address performance gaps promptly and create an environment where people feel motivated to raise the bar.
- Communicate with impact: Deliver clear operational updates, present confidently in team forums and ensure your team understands the purpose, priorities and measures of success.
- Collaborate strategically: Work closely with fellow managers, cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to share learning, improve ways of working and deliver joined-up outcomes.
- Support partners and escalations: Take ownership of partner complaint escalations when needed, resolving issues effectively and coaching the team to build confidence in problem-solving.
- Build team capability: Recruit high-quality talent, support effective onboarding and create the conditions for new and experienced colleagues to succeed.
- Lead improvement: Own projects and process improvements, test new approaches and share practical insight that improves team and business performance.

Who you are
To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proven leadership experience: You have successfully led and developed a high-performing team, ideally in Account Management, sales, SaaS, technology or a fast-paced partner environment.
- A passion for people management: You are a coach and mentor who knows how to unlock potential, build confidence and create a culture of accountability and success.
- Commercial acumen: You understand how activity, partner value, retention and revenue connect, and you can align team effort with wider business goals.
- Activity-led operational focus: You are comfortable leading a team across multiple campaigns, creating structure and maintaining momentum without losing sight of quality.
- Coaching expertise: You can adapt your coaching style to the individual, helping people overcome challenges, strengthen capability and continuously improve.
- Data-driven decision making: You use data confidently to identify trends, challenge assumptions, prioritise action and improve performance.
- Clear and inspiring communication: You can translate priorities into simple messages, bring teams with you and communicate effectively with colleagues at every level.
- Resilience and adaptability: You thrive in a fast-moving environment, remain calm under pressure and respond to change with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
- Collaborative mindset: You work as one team with peers and stakeholders, sharing ideas and learning while staying accountable for delivery.

It would be great if you also have:
- Previous hands-on Account Management experience, helping you relate to the opportunities and challenges your team faces.
- Experience leading campaigns, productivity programmes or process improvement initiatives through to completion.
- Experience supporting new joiners and building clear plans that accelerate confidence and performance.
- The ability to balance big-picture thinking with practical, hands-on leadership.
- A passion for raising standards and creating measurable value for partners, colleagues and the business.
