Sales Manager
Are you an experienced Sales Manager or Business Development professional with a background in the UK utilities sector?
Our client, a specialist provider of pipeline services for UK utilities, is looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager to develop new business and grow existing accounts across the UK, with a particular focus on the water and wastewater market.
This is a technical, solution-led sales role where you’ll build relationships with utility companies, consultants, contractors, and framework partners, identifying opportunities and developing solutions to meet customer needs.
This is a fully remote role with regular travel required across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow strategic customer accounts across the UK utilities market
- Identify new business opportunities across water, wastewater, and wider utility sectors
- Build relationships with utility companies, consultants, contractors, and framework partners
- Promote technical solutions including pipeline rehabilitation and infrastructure services
- Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation, contract award, and handover
- Support technical proposals, tenders, presentations, trials, and product approvals
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and CRM records
- Work with internal technical, operational, and commercial teams to deliver customer solutions

Who They’re Looking For:
- Proven sales or business development experience within the UK utilities sector, ideally water and wastewater
- Experience in technical, solution-led, or specification-led sales
- Strong account management and business development skills
- Understanding of utility procurement, frameworks, and AMP programmes
- Knowledge of pipeline infrastructure, trenchless technology, or rehabilitation would be advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness, with experience in negotiation, forecasting, and managing opportunities
- Confident communicating with technical, operational, procurement, and senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK
