About the role
We're building our telesales function from scratch, and we're looking for someone to build it with us. You'll help shape it, from how calls are run to the systems, scripts and coaching behind them. You'll need a good understanding of how sales works, and you'll have our support along the way.
It's a player-coach role, so you'll spend real time on the phone yourself while building what the team runs on. It suits someone commercially minded and hands-on, who's ready to step up and build something of their own.
About the brand
At Different Dog, we're on a mission to change dogs' lives with real food. We are a team of passionate dog lovers who believe that nutrition matters, and our recipes are built on proven science, with support from our in-house vet and nutritionist. Having seen behind the curtain of the processed pet food industry, we decided to do everything differently. We are a subscription-based B Corp™ delivering hand-cooked, healthy food to over 20,000 UK dogs; our nutritional rating and customer reviews speak for themselves.
What you'll do
- Sell, hands-on
- Spend real time on the phone selling, leading from the front
- Run early-lifecyle/onboarding calls after box one, helping new customers settle in
- Use your own calls as the main source of insight for what to build next

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
