The Role

Our client, a leading manufacturer within the healthcare sector, is seeking a commercially-minded leader to join their UK Management Team, driving business and organisational growth. You'll lead the commercial team including Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers and Territory Managers - taking ownership of sales strategy, customer engagement and growth initiatives across the UK market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the commercial team, setting goals, KPIs, and coaching plans to build a strong pipeline
  • Design and implement sales strategy in line with agreed budgets
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, growing existing accounts and promoting the company's products and services
  • Lead and manage cross-functional commercial projects as directed by senior leadership
  • Build and maintain strong, multi-level relationships with key customer groups, wholesalers, and corporate accounts
  • Stay ahead of sector trends, providing insight and foresight to inform strategy
  • Ensure accurate, consistent use of CRM systems across the commercial function
  • Produce timely contact reports, monthly sales reports, and forecasts, liaising with logistics and the wider commercial team
  • Collaborate with the global team on shared projects and best practice

About You

  • Previous experience within the healthcare sector is essential; product knowledge is desirable but not required
  • Strong commercial acumen - able to make decisions from a customer and consumer-based perspective
  • A track record of setting ambitious targets and delivering results, with the ability to hold yourself and others accountable
  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to operate at multiple levels within customer organisations
  • Confident educating accounts on technical products and building long-term collaborative plans
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - clear, concise, and persuasive
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • A collaborative team player, comfortable taking on responsibility quickly
  • Willingness to travel for shows, meetings, and customer visits as required
