Sales Manager - Retirement Living | Little Mount Lake, East Sussex | Inspired Villages

Are you an experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record in retirement living?
Do you have the leadership skills, commercial expertise and passion for customer experience needed to lead a high-performing sales team and establish a thriving new retirement community?
If so, this is a rare opportunity to join Inspired Villages as Sales Manager for Little Mount Lake, our newest retirement village development in Frant, East Sussex, due to open in 2027.
This is an immediate opportunity to join the business and begin building the foundations for a successful launch. Our dedicated sales office is expected to open in early 2027, providing the perfect environment to welcome prospective residents, showcase the development and drive sales activity ahead of the village opening.
Joining us now, you will play a key role in building awareness of the village, establishing local partnerships, generating demand and creating a strong sales pipeline well before the first residents move into their new homes.
Little Mount Lake will offer beautifully designed homes, exceptional facilities and a lifestyle centred around wellbeing, independence and community. We are seeking an experienced sales leader from the retirement living sector to lead the sales operation and help bring this exciting new development to life.
About The Role
As Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the complete sales journey, from generating initial enquiries through to reservation, exchange, completion and move-in.
You Will
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Village Advisors to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and implement the sales strategy for Little Mount Lake, from pre-launch through to full occupancy.
- Build a robust sales pipeline and take ownership of sales performance, conversion and progression.
- Drive lead generation through proactive follow-up, networking, local engagement and relationship building.
- Identify target markets and commercial opportunities to maximise sales and occupancy.
- Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, referral partners, estate agents, healthcare professionals, community organisations and other sources of new business.
- Work closely with Marketing to deliver effective sales and marketing activity that generates quality enquiries.
- Deliver an exceptional consultative customer journey for prospective residents and their families.
- Manage the sales pipeline and CRM database, ensuring enquiries are accurately recorded, prioritised and progressed.
- Take ownership of reservations, deposits and sales progression, ensuring exchanges and completions are achieved within agreed timescales.
- Oversee new home sales, rentals, relets and part exchange opportunities.
- Monitor availability and inventory, identifying trends and taking corrective action where required.
- Develop a strong referral network to generate quality sales enquiries and occupancy opportunities.
- Produce accurate weekly sales reports, analysing performance against targets and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with the Village Manager, Regional Sales Manager and wider project team to ensure Little Mount Lake opens with a strong sales position and a thriving future community.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for a commercially focused Retirement Living Sales Manager who combines strong sales leadership with a genuine passion for building relationships and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
You Will Ideally Have
- A proven track record of leading and developing a sales team while achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Previous experience in retirement living and retirement villages is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the end-to-end property sales process, including reservations, sales progression, exchange and completion.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and CRM system.
- Experience driving occupancy growth and sales performance within a retirement living environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into sales.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to build relationships with prospective residents, their families, local partners and other stakeholders.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to take ownership and deliver results.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate a team to deliver exceptional results.
- A genuine commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience.

As Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in creating a brand-new retirement community from the very beginning.
This role offers the chance to join immediately and influence the future success of Little Mount Lake from an early stage. Rather than inheriting an established operation, you will help shape the sales strategy, build local relationships, generate demand and create a strong pipeline ahead of the village opening.
With the sales office opening in early 2027 and the village opening later that year, this is an exciting opportunity to be involved in every stage of the journey.
