Sales Manager – Existing Business

£55,000 basic + £45,000 variable | £100,000 OTE
Bracknell | Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

Certus Recruitment is working with an established and growing B2B technology business looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager to lead its Existing Business team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established team responsible for customer retention, renewals and account growth, strengthening an already consistent operation while developing a more proactive and commercially focused approach.

The emphasis is firmly on people leadership. You’ll coach and develop the team, improve performance through better use of data and structure, and help Account Managers identify and develop genuine opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

The Role

You’ll lead an existing customer sales team with responsibility for:

  • Renewals, retention and account growth
  • Developing a more proactive account management approach
  • Coaching Account Managers on customer conversations, upselling and cross-selling
  • Building stronger account planning and activity disciplines
  • Using CRM and performance data to identify opportunities and retention risks
  • Running effective one-to-ones, coaching sessions and individual development plans
  • Maintaining accurate forecasting and performance reporting
  • Identifying workflow and automation improvements that give the team more time with customers
  • Managing performance and implementing change while maintaining team engagement
  • Working alongside the wider sales leadership team to improve commercial performance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a growing business with an established customer base and a supportive commercial leadership team.

The initial focus will be understanding the team and identifying opportunities for improvement before introducing stronger coaching, management and commercial disciplines. Within three to six months, you should be able to demonstrate a measurable impact on account growth while protecting the strong renewal performance already in place.
