Sales Manager – IT Services
Sheffield | £60,000–£75,000 Base + £40,000 OTE
IP-People is recruiting a Sales Manager for a growing UK technology services business, leading a team of sales professionals across managed services, cloud, consultancy, and IT solutions.
This is a hands-on sales leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the numbers. You’ll drive daily activity, improve pipeline discipline, coach Account Managers and BDMs, and take ownership of both new business and growth across the existing customer base.
The Role
- Lead and develop a team of Account Managers, Account Directors, and New Business BDMs
- Drive new-logo acquisition across the Sheffield / South Yorkshire market
- Grow existing accounts through cross-sell, upsell, and managed services
- Set clear activity, pipeline, and revenue targets across the team
- Own forecasting, CRM discipline, and sales performance
- Coach sellers directly through calls, meetings, and live opportunities
- Work closely with technical, pre-sales, and service teams to convert and deliver opportunities
- Build a high-performance, accountable sales culture

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing a B2B technology sales team
- Background within MSP, IT services, telecoms, cloud, or technology
- Comfortable managing both hunters and account managers
- Strong understanding of managed services and cloud propositions
- Commercially driven with a good grasp of pipeline, margin, ARR/MRR, and forecasting
- A hands-on manager who leads from the front rather than from the sidelines
- Strong coaching and performance management skills
- Credible with senior customer stakeholders
