C&I Battery Storage Sales Manager
£55,000–£65,000 basic salary | UK-wide / Hybrid
£120,000 OTE + Company Car
We’re supporting an ambitious and growing renewable energy business looking to appoint an experienced C&I Battery Storage Sales Manager.
This is a key commercial hire for someone who understands the commercial and industrial energy market and can develop opportunities across solar PV, battery energy storage, and wider renewable-energy solutions.
The Role
- Identify and develop new C&I solar PV and battery-storage opportunities
- Build relationships with commercial property owners, developers, consultants, installers, energy users, and strategic partners
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and close
- Understand customer energy usage, commercial drivers, and sustainability objectives
- Work with technical teams to develop commercially viable solar and storage solutions
- Present proposals, business cases, and projected returns to senior decision-makers
- Develop a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and provide accurate sales forecasts
- Support tender submissions and larger, more complex commercial projects
- Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities
- Help shape the wider commercial strategy as the company continues to grow

What We’re Looking For
- Proven sales or business-development experience within C&I solar, battery storage, renewable energy, or energy solutions
- A strong understanding of the commercial solar and storage market
- Experience developing and closing complex B2B projects
- Confidence selling to business owners, directors, developers, and other senior stakeholders
- Commercial awareness and the ability to explain project returns, payback, and long-term value
- A consultative approach rather than purely transactional selling
- Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and negotiation skills
- The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with technical and operational teams
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for customer meetings
