Compensation: £40,000 / year
Location: HP18 / Buckinghamshire – commutable distance required (15 miles max)
The Role
We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Sales Manager to take ownership of sales performance and growth across two Speedy Freight territories covering Milton Keynes & Hemel Hempstead, and Peterborough & Lincoln.
This is a key role within a growing franchise operation, working directly with the franchise owner and a close-knit team across sales, customer support, and operations.
You’ll have genuine ownership of the sales strategy across both territories — driving new business, developing the team, improving sales activity, and taking accountability for delivering the KPIs that will support continued growth.
The Opportunity
As sales manager, this is an opportunity to take real ownership of sales growth across two expanding territories, rather than simply managing an established sales function.
You’ll have the freedom to shape the sales strategy, introduce structure and accountability, develop the existing team, and build new business across Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead, Peterborough, and Lincoln.
You’ll work closely with the franchise owners in a growing business where your contribution will be highly visible and directly linked to commercial performance.
If you’re a commercially driven Sales Manager who enjoys owning the numbers, developing people, and turning strategy into growth, we’d love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
