About the Business

Our client is a well established and growing business, looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager to lead their sales team through the next phase of growth. This is a confidential search being managed exclusively by The Advocate Group.

The Role

This is a hands on leadership role for someone who wants to build a high performing sales team, not just inherit one. You will own the numbers, coach the team that delivers them, and bring real structure and accountability to how sales is managed day to day.

What You Will Be Doing

Team Leadership

  • Manage, coach and motivate a team of sales professionals to hit and exceed individual and team targets
  • Set clear KPIs and hold regular one to ones, reviews and team meetings to track performance
  • Identify training needs and support the development of team members at all levels

Revenue and Pipeline

  • Take ownership of new business development alongside growth of existing accounts
  • Drive revenue growth through effective pipeline management and forecasting
  • Spot opportunities for cross sell and upsell across the existing customer base

CRM and Reporting

  • Ensure full and consistent use of the CRM system across the team
  • Use CRM data to track leads, conversion, activity and account performance, and to inform coaching and decision making
  • Provide regular, accurate reporting to senior leadership on sales performance, pipeline and forecast

Strategy and Process

  • Contribute to sales strategy and help shape targets, incentives and ways of working
  • Introduce or improve sales processes to drive consistency and efficiency across the team
  • Work closely with marketing, operations and other departments to support wider business goals

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience managing and developing a sales team, ideally in a target driven, fast paced environment
  • A strong track record of hitting revenue targets and growing accounts
  • Confident using CRM systems to manage a sales function, not just to log activity
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to get the best out of a team
  • Commercially minded, organised, and comfortable owning the numbers
