General Sales Manager
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Basic Salary £36,253 per year with OTE £55,823, Company Car, 33 days holiday, Life Assurance, and an excellent benefits package
Contract Type: Permanent
Pybus Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced General Sales Manager on behalf of a leading automotive retailer in Glasgow.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven sales leader to take responsibility for a successful sales operation. The successful candidate will lead and develop a high-performing team, drive profitability, and deliver exceptional customer experiences while achieving and exceeding business objectives.
The Role
As Sales Manager, you will inspire and motivate the sales team to achieve outstanding results while ensuring the highest standards of customer service and operational excellence.
You will be responsible for leading the sales department, maximising opportunities across new and used vehicle sales, and supporting the delivery of finance and associated products.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed key performance targets.
- Drive vehicle sales performance across new and used vehicle operations.
- Monitor and improve profitability, sales volumes, and customer satisfaction levels.
- Support and develop Business Managers to deliver effective finance and product solutions.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained throughout the sales process.
- Maximise opportunities for vehicle, finance, and value-added product sales.
- Monitor departmental performance through KPI analysis and reporting.
- Create a positive, high-performance sales culture focused on continuous improvement.

About You
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual with proven automotive sales leadership experience.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a Sales Manager role within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience coaching and developing sales teams to consistently achieve targets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Commercial awareness and strong financial understanding.
- Good IT and general computer skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
- Experience within commercial vehicle sales would be highly advantageous.
