Your Purpose
The Sales Manager will be responsible for converting assigned leads through the effective execution of the inquiry handling process, the preparation of proposals, quotations, and other activities aimed at meeting client needs and maximizing hotel revenue within their assigned verticals.
Key to this role is developing expertise in understanding sector/account needs, maximizing lead conversion, and driving incremental revenue to the hotel. Where applicable, this role will also involve management.
Job Description
- Plan and manage sales activities, including calls, enquiries, and leads, adhering to Fairmont standards and Account Management procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential corporate clients through meetings, site inspections, and promotional events.
- Achieve sales targets for MICE, rooms, wellness, and golf, while maximising revenue for supplementary departments.
- Organise VIP arrivals and ensure client satisfaction by coordinating specific requirements with various departments.
- Maintain updated records and produce regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitor information.
- Conduct market research, identify new business opportunities, and participate in promotional activities and sales trips.
- Collaborate with the Accor Sales Network and attend regular sales meetings to support overall hotel sales targets.
- Manage administrative duties, including correspondence, account documentation, and sales pack preparation.
- Lead and mentor a small team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure individual and team success.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with the hotel's overall business objectives and market positioning.
- Analyse sales performance data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Negotiate and finalise complex contracts and agreements with key accounts, ensuring favourable terms for the hotel.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Revenue Management teams to develop targeted campaigns and optimise pricing strategies.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years Sales Management experience within a luxury hotel environment
- Extensive knowledge of managing your own sales pipeline for corporate clients
- Excellent communication and customer service skills in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
- Ability to engage effectively with luxury clientele and senior stakeholders
- Experience in managing budgets, cost control, and forecasting
- Strong business acumen and understanding of operational profitability
- Upholds brand standards for professional conduct and presentation
