We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to join our Truly Talented team.
Role Overview
To proactively generate new business and grow revenue for the hotel by identifying, developing, and converting corporate, group, and event opportunities.
The Sales Manager will actively prospect within the market, build strong client relationships, and work closely with internal teams to maximise occupancy, rate, and ancillary spend.
£35,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
Proactive Sales & New Business Development
- Proactively source new corporate, group, and meeting & events business within the market.
- Identify and target new accounts and opportunities through market research, networking, site visits, sales calls, and familiarisation trips utilising tools such as Agency360 as a core new business intelligence tool.
- Respond to and follow up on all sales enquiries in a timely and professional manner, converting opportunities into confirmed business.
- Actively manage a personal sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking.

Account Management & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, travel advisors, local businesses, agencies, travel management companies, and event planners.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts to maximise revenue and repeat business.
- Conduct regular client meetings, hotel show rounds, and hosted site inspections.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows as required.
Revenue & Commercial Focus
- Negotiate rates and contracts in line with hotel pricing strategy and commercial guidelines.
- Work closely with the Revenue and Reservations teams to optimise pricing, availability, and yield.
- Identify opportunities to upsell bedrooms, meetings & events space (if applicable), food & beverage, and additional services.
- Execute the commercial sales strategy aligned with the hotel’s goals.
Brand Positioning
- Leverage digital platforms and partnerships to enhance brand awareness.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the hotel market, competitors, and local demand trends.
- Provide regular sales activity reports, pipeline updates, and performance insights to the General Manager.
- Ensure all sales activity, client interactions, and opportunities are accurately recorded in the CRM system (Monday.com).
- Manage and update hotel shopping windows and ensure accurate, engaging content across all online channels. I.e. Venue Directory/Cvent etc.
- Prepare and submit reporting for your monthly commercial packs.
Collaboration & Brand Representation
- Work closely with Operations, Events, Front Office teams and (M&E and Groups hub, if applicable) to ensure maximum collaboration and delivery of confirmed business.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the hotel, consistently delivering a professional and personable client experience.
- Support wider Sales & Marketing initiatives and campaigns as required.
Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Previous sales experience within hospitality, hotels, or a customer-facing commercial role.
- Proven ability to proactively generate new business and build strong client relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
- Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of the corporate and hospitality market.
