Sales Manager – Packaging Machinery
UK Wide | Field Based
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Bonus + Company Car / Car Allowance
We are recruiting for an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager or Sales Engineer to join a well-established and innovative packaging solutions provider, recognised for delivering high-quality vertical packaging systems into the food and produce sectors.
This is a high-impact, autonomous role focused on driving UK market share, developing OEM partnerships, and expanding product penetration within an already strong customer base.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of a territory, leading business development initiatives and building long-term strategic relationships across the produce and food packing industry. The position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping sales strategy and contributing to the continued growth of a respected and technically advanced organisation.

The business is known for its expertise in vertical form-fill-seal packaging technology, providing efficient, reliable, and high-performance machinery tailored to high-volume food production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute structured sales strategies across the UK market
- Drive new business acquisition within the produce and food packing sector
- Identify and secure new OEM partnerships
- Introduce new products and solutions into existing accounts
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships at multiple levels
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to support commercial positioning
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
- Contribute to wider business planning and growth strategy
- Operate in line with company KPIs and profitability targets
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical sales within packaging machinery/food packing market.
- Proven track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets
- Strong consultative, solution-led sales approach
- Technically competent, with the ability to communicate complex solutions clearly
- Commercially astute with a structured and proactive mindset
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK, with occasional international travel
