Sales Manager

PA Promotions Ltd | Cardiff | Full-time, on-site

About Us

For 45 years, PA Promotions has helped businesses across the UK stand out — supplying distinctive, non-generic branded merchandise and corporate gifts that get noticed. We're proud of the personal, friendly service we offer, and as a small, close-knit team, everyone here has a real say in how we grow.

We're looking for a new Sales Manager to help lead the next chapter.

The Role

You'll take the lead on our sales team, setting targets, tracking performance, and driving revenue across our promotional merchandise and corporate gifts range. You'll manage key client relationships, spot new business opportunities, and own the sales pipeline from first contact through to closing the deal.

You'll work closely with our marketing and production teams day to day, making sure every order lands on time, on-brand, and to a standard our clients have come to expect after 45 years in business. You'll also keep an eye on the numbers — forecasting performance, spotting where we can improve, and helping the team work smarter.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading, motivating and developing a small sales team
  • Setting and monitoring sales targets
  • Managing key client accounts and building lasting relationships
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Preparing proposals and quotations
  • Overseeing the sales pipeline, from lead to close
  • Working closely with marketing and production for smooth, accurate delivery
  • Analysing sales data and forecasting to inform strategy

What We're Looking For

We need someone motivated and driven — someone who takes ownership of their targets and genuinely wants to grow the business, not just hit a number. You'll be organised, able to juggle multiple accounts and priorities without dropping the ball, and comfortable working closely in a small team where everyone pitches in.

Alongside that, you'll bring:

  • A track record in sales — team leadership, target setting, performance monitoring
  • Experience in business development, account management, and relationship-building with corporate clients
  • Some knowledge of promotional products, marketing, advertising or printing would be useful but not essential — you just need a strong ability to pick it up fast
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, written and in person
  • Comfort with CRM systems and everyday office software for pipeline and reporting
  • A proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets — B2B sales experience is a big plus
  • Relevant experience or training in sales, business or marketing (equivalent hands-on experience is just as welcome)
