We’re looking for a high-energy, experienced and supportive Sales Manager

To lead and develop our high-performing team of Sales Executives based in Bolton.

This is a key role within our Sales Division, providing hands-on leadership, coaching and commercial support to help the team achieve its targets and accelerate the growth of the business. You’ll bring your own experience of high-volume sales and people management to develop the team, improve performance and drive results.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team of Sales Executives to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
  • Take ownership of team activity levels and performance against monthly new business and revenue targets.
  • Manage team KPIs, pipeline activity and sales forecasts, ensuring performance is monitored and action is taken where required.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback and performance management to support individual and team development.
  • Conduct regular 1-to-1s with direct reports and work with individuals to create and deliver personal development plans.
  • Analyse team performance, sales data and KPIs to identify trends, training needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Produce daily and monthly performance reports, including team wins, losses and other relevant commercial information.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director to support the delivery of the wider business strategy and ensure budgets and commercial objectives are met.
  • Support the development and implementation of sales strategies, processes and initiatives that improve team efficiency and performance.
  • Oversee the commercial requirements for services across our brands, ensuring the team is equipped to maximise opportunities.
  • Manage and develop the team’s pipeline, ensuring sufficient activity is in place to underpin revenue requirements.
  • Ensure quotes and orders are produced accurately and efficiently.
  • Keep up to date with competitor activity and industry developments, ensuring the team is equipped to confidently manage objections and maximise conversion opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with external technical teams where required.
  • Work collaboratively with other Sales Managers to ensure strong communication and consistency across the wider Sales Division.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working across the team.

This role reports directly to the Sales Director.

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience managing a team of sales or business development professionals.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop individuals.
  • Personal experience working in a high-volume, target-driven sales environment.
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in performance coaching, development and managing performance where necessary.
  • Commercially focused, with a strong understanding of sales activity, pipelines, KPIs and conversion.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills.
  • A genuine desire to share your experience and support others in their professional development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly and effectively.
  • The ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively and deliver against tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively alongside other Sales Managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

About You

You’re an enthusiastic and driven sales leader who enjoys getting the best out of people.

  • You’ll be someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and isn't afraid to get involved, lead from the front and provide hands-on support to the team.
  • You’ll have the confidence to make decisions, introduce new ideas and lead initiatives that improve performance, while also having the ability to build strong relationships and create a positive, supportive team environment.
  • Most importantly, you’ll be passionate about sales, motivated by achieving results and genuinely invested in helping your team succeed.

What We Offer

  • Up to £45,000 basic salary, depending on experience
  • £70,000+ OTE with uncapped commission
