Sales Manager
Location: Peterborough – Hybrid Working
Travel: London 1 day per week
Salary: £40k to £60k base salary + Uncapped OTE
We’re working exclusively with a growing finance broker looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager to lead, coach, and develop an established team of Junior and Senior Brokers.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands how to get the best out of a sales team. You’ll be responsible for driving performance, developing individuals, and creating a high-performance culture while ensuring excellent customer outcomes.
The Role
- Lead and manage a team of 6 Junior & Senior Brokers
- Conduct regular 1-to-1s, performance reviews, and coaching sessions
- Set and manage individual and team KPIs and sales targets
- Monitor key metrics including conversion rates, call volumes, lead-to-sale ratios, average deal values, and revenue
- Analyse performance data and identify opportunities to improve results
- Coach and develop team members to consistently achieve targets
- Manage underperformance and implement structured improvement plans where required
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Maintain accurate CRM, pipeline, and performance data
- Ensure high standards of compliance, quality, and customer outcomes
- Build a positive, accountable, and high-performing sales culture

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience managing a small to medium-sized sales team, ideally 5–10 people
- Background within automotive sales, automotive finance, and/or financial services
- Strong experience in coaching, people development, and performance management
- Proven track record of managing sales teams against targets and KPIs
- Confident in analysing sales data and using it to drive performance
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on management style
- Experience within a regulated financial services environment would be highly desirable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment
- Ambitious and motivated to progress within a growing business
