SALES MANAGER

Roadfill Limited | UK | Full-time | Field-based / Hybrid

Roadfill is looking for an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in the UK asphalt, surfacing, aggregates or road-materials industry to join our team and drive the commercial growth of our innovative asphalt material.

This is a hands-on, target-driven sales role. We are looking for someone who already knows the UK market, understands how asphalt and road materials are bought and sold, has established industry relationships, and knows how to turn opportunities into customers, projects and tonnes sold.

IMPORTANT: Previous professional experience within the UK asphalt, surfacing, aggregates or road-materials sector is essential. Applicants without relevant UK industry experience will not be considered.

THE ROLE

You will take ownership of developing and growing Roadfill’s UK customer base, with a particular focus on surfacing contractors, infrastructure contractors and other buyers and users of asphalt materials.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and pursuing new customers, live projects and upcoming opportunities across the UK.
  • Proactively generating new business and converting opportunities into confirmed orders.
  • Building strong commercial relationships with surfacing contractors, infrastructure contractors and other key customers within the industry.
  • Developing and managing a strong, measurable UK sales pipeline.
  • Managing the sales process from initial introduction and opportunity identification through to commercial negotiation and secured order.
  • Identifying upcoming projects where Roadfill’s material can be introduced and supplied.
  • Developing key accounts and increasing repeat business and customer tonnage.
  • Negotiating pricing and commercial terms within agreed parameters.
  • Working closely with Roadfill’s technical and operational teams to provide customers with the information and support required to progress opportunities.
  • Maintaining an active understanding of the UK asphalt and surfacing market, including upcoming projects, customer activity and competitor developments.
  • Maintaining accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Delivering agreed tonnage, revenue and margin targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
