Sales Manager - Location Intelligence & BI (Player-Manager)

Base: £80,000-£90,000 | OTE: + £40,000-£50,000
Hybrid (London Zone 1 office, 3 days per week)

We are working with a market-leading data and analytics business to appoint a Sales Manager into one of the highest-performing divisions in the company. With clients including household names across Retail, Leisure and Private Healthcare, this is a business with a genuine reputation for quality - and a culture to match.

This is a true player-manager role. You will lead and develop a team of 6 salespeople while carrying your own personal target, managing a mix of existing accounts and new business. This role has come up as part of continued growth in this businesses best performing sales team. The incumbent sales leader is now looking for an additional leader that can help them to manage the performance, forecasting and skills of this team.

You'll be directly responsible for 6 of the existing team and will drive performance and standards.

The Role

  • Lead, coach and performance-manage a team of 6 salespeople
  • Carry your own quota alongside the management responsibilities
  • Sell BI software licenses and consulting to Retail, Leisure and Private Healthcare businesses
  • Engage at Head of Strategy, Director of Business Development and Operations Director level
  • Manage proposal reviews, pipeline, pastoral care and performance across the team
  • Drive a value-selling methodology across a 4-6 month sales cycle, with deals typically running as 3-5 year contracts

What We Are Looking For

  • Sales and sales leadership experience within SaaS, BI or licensing - either as a player-manager or having done both roles separately
  • A track record of managing and closing six-figure deals
  • Experience implementing or working within a structured sales methodology - value selling experience is a strong advantage
  • Able to sell based on business impact rather than product features - curiosity and the ability to draw out value are what this hiring manager selects on
  • Based in or commutable to West London, with the ability to be in the Kensington office 3 days per week

The Package

  • Base salary: £80,000-£90,000
  • OTE: £40,000-£50,000, paid monthly and quarterly
